To Surge or Not To Surge

Ah, it’s that time of the year, September, kids are going back to school, the air is getting cooler, Congress is going back in session, Bush is asking for more war money.

The report coming from the General is general, and Republicans are saying that Iraq is safer.

Talking with Wolf Blitzer, Rep. Charles Boustany from Louisiana bragged that he had just returned from Iraq and things are better because he was “able to walk the streets of Fallujiah…” with a “platoon of Marines.”

A platoon of Marines? Are you kidding me! I could walk through anywhere with a platoon of Marines! With a platoon of Marines, I would've been able to get the latest Harry Potter book the day it came out!
